HOW THIS WORKS
Our analysis-based approach assesses a startup’s
readiness for funding throughout the Deck to Deal™

documents that investors expect to receive in their
virtual deal data room.

Get Genius Funding Analysis
The preparedness evaluation engine behind the Corporate Funding, Pitch Preparedness, and Business Viability assessments is Deal Genius ™, a proprietary analytics engine that compares an entrepreneur’s pitch to other comparable pitches according to industry, and company size or stage.
BUSINESS VIABILITY ANALYSIS
For startups experiencing hesitancy from investors, the Business Viability Analysis presents a report that evaluates the investment risk according to the return and true amount required.
This data-driven report is based upon other funded companies within the startup’s industry, and is powered by Deal Genius.
This report allows the founding team to get an outsider’s assessment about the aspects of their business plan that requires further honing, improvement, or exploration. It is a private assessment intended to identify opportunities for improvement.
CORPORATE FUNDING READINESS
Before pitching investors, startups should make sure their corporate documentation is complete and the company is structured to take outside investment.

When the entrepreneur is ready to pitch investors, it’s best to practice the pitch in front of seasoned experts, investors, speech writers, and others, who can provide candid feedback about your pitch style, content, and ability to handle ad hoc questions. If you don’t capture the audience’s attention within the first 30 seconds, they will not find you persuasive enough. If you can’t explain what they will be funding within the first 90 seconds, they will not find you concise enough. Those are just two of the hundreds of reasons to practice your pitch with “friendlies” before speaking to an investor.
Regardless if you’ve used Hen House Ventures’ online pitch deck creation or not, we provide the opportunity for you to present your introduction investor pitch to several investors, industry experts and investment influencers, live.
Hen House Ventures organizes a 60-minute virtual meeting session where the CEO will have 20 minutes to pitch to a mock-up prospective investor panel, and each audience member will interact with the CEO as investors would. After the Pitch Practice, the entrepreneur will receive a summary and a scorecard of your pitch as well as a recording. This is great for companies who are new to pitching investors, and want feedback on how to improve their presentation and closing skills.
What you get:
- Live interaction with investors and industry veterans
- Recording of your 1-hour session
- Ad hoc Q&A experience relevant to your pitch
- Ad hoc feedback about your pitch and business plan
- Written feedback and grades from the judges
